Branding is Psychology

When you are designing, a logo, a flyer, a site; you may think you are creating something in a particular way or light. Unfortunately, it's less what you think it is and more what it's perceived to be. Media shapes mind. If it's green, people think nature. If it's yellow, people think sunshine. If it looks like a carrot, people will think carrot.

There is a saying KISS, Keep It Simple Silly. Sometimes when you are creating and designing, you get so caught up in the complexities of what you think it SHOULD look like, add a bit here and take a bit there....etc....etc...etc...

My advice is... STOP. Ask you a 10 year-old boy, a 20 year-old woman, a 40 year-old and a 60 year-old.
Test your market or simpler again, see it through SIMPLER eyes...
Eyes who do not have investment into this visual creation.

Moral of the story, it doesn't matter what you think, it's what thoughts it evokes in other.
